The NYCFC is New York City’s only free, comprehensive healthcare clinic for the uninsured. Formed as a partnership between NYU School of Medicine and the Institute for Family Health, the NYCFC depends primarily on student volunteers. The NYCFC provides uninsured New Yorkers with free primary and specialty medical care. At a time when one in four New Yorkers lacks health insurance, and thus access to affordable medical care, the NYCFC unquestionably fills a crucial role in our city.
