REFERRALS
For all information and questions regarding a referral you received at the NYC Free Clinic or related ongoing care at Bellevue, please call the administrative phone line, 917-544-0735. Messages left on this phone are for administrative purposes only. Please do not state any medical information in your message. Messages must include the correct spelling of your first and last name, your date of birth, and a telephone number where we can reach you. Please also indicate whether or not the NYCFC can leave a message at that number.
* The NYCFC will cover all costs of your first appointment in a given specialist department at Bellevue Hospital. If you need further specialist care, we ask that you return to the NYCFC where we can assess your condition, and we may be able to issue you a new referral.
LAB RESULTS
NYC Free Clinic patients will receive a letter or call regarding their lab results. If you have questions regarding your labs results call the clinic on Saturday between 9-3PM and ask to speak with the Free Clinic supervisor.
If you need urgent medical care, you may go to the 230 West 17th Street site of the Institute for Family Health, which is open from 8AM – 10 PM daily. You can be seen there on a sliding scale regardless of your ability to pay. If you are having a medical emergency, we recommend you present to an Emergency Department at any hospital immediately

Take the L, A, C, or E train to the 14th Street-8th Avenue station. Walk north to 17th Street, then east to 230 West 17th Street.
Or take the 1, 2 or 3 train to the 18th Street-7th Avenue station. Walk south to 17th Street, then west to 230 West 17th Street.
Driving Directions
From New Jersey: Take Interstate-495 East (I-495 E). Merge onto the Lincoln Tunnel Expressway / I-495 E. Take the Lincoln Tunnel into Manhattan. Turn right onto 9th Avenue to head toward southern Manhattan. Turn left onto West 18th Street, then right onto 7th Avenue, the right onto West 17th Street toarrive at 230 West 17th Street.
